In-Clinic Services to Restore Hair Growth

Surgery may not be the preferred option for treating hair loss. In many cases, home or in-clinic treatments are enough to stimulate new hair growth and reverse hair loss that can lead to insecurity.

Sante Medical offers a complete range of non-invasive and in many cases natural treatments to encourage new, healthy hair growth.

  • Regenerative Plasma Therapy
  • Hormone Balancing
  • Fotona SP Dynamis Laser
  • Nutrient Scalp Infusion
  • Minoxidil
  • Scalp Micropigmentation
  • Laser Cap
  • Max Hair Supplements
  • Propecia
  • HRI Hair Boost Program

Regenerative Plasma Therapy

Many of our patients choose regenerative plasma therapy (also known as platelet rich plasma therapy or PRP) for hair restoration due to its simplicity- it is an all-natural treatment that can provide excellent results for men and women seeking to arrest hair loss and provide density for thinning hair.

Regenerative plasma is a substance we create using platelets derived from your own blood. Platelets are small cells that play a key role in the natural cell regeneration process by releasing growth factors that trigger tissue repair, cell renewal and collagen production. Together, these factors can serve to:

  • Promote hair follicle regeneration
  • Increase blood supply to the follicle
  • Increase follicular thickness (shaft size)
  • Trigger and extend the hair growth phase
  • decrease hair loss

How Does Regenerative Plasma Therapy Work?

After running your blood through a centrifuge, we filter out and increase the sample’s platelet concentration which is then injected back into your scalp. We use a specialized injection device that makes the treatment virtually painless, and there is no downtime following the procedure.

Over the course of the next three to six months, patients generally see a noticeable improvement in hair density and health. Because the results gradually improve over time, friends are less likely to notice that a procedure has taken place.

For optimum results, we often recommend a series of three treatments in combination with laser therapy and nutritional supplements.

“I went through an extremely stressful time in my life. A lot of my hair fell out. I was devastated as I have always had beautiful hair. Losing my hair was horrible. I went to see Dr. Bobby and he sent me for bloodwork before recommending anything. I was a candidate for PRP. I had the procedure done 3 separate times. My hair is 80 percent back. It took 4 – 6 months to start seeing results but it was all worth it. Dr. Bobby is amazing. I am so grateful to this man. I recommend Dr. Bobby 100%. The staff is amazing as well.”

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)

Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-invasive process that uses microneedles and a specialized ink to ‘tattoo’ pigment into the scalp. It replicates the appearance of tiny hair follicles to:

  • Add the illusion of density to thinning hair,
  • Camouflage certain scars
  • Create a full head of hair including a hairline.

SMP is rapidly gaining popularity as it offers undetectable results almost instantly with minimal inconvenience or aftercare. Depending on the length of the session and the area that is being worked on, you may feel very mild soreness but it’s a very easily tolerated procedure.

HRI’s Wilson Mendoza has dedicated the past four years specializing in SMP- his attention to detail and passion for his craft make Wilson a highly regarded SMP artist.

How Long Does SMP Last?

Scalp micropigmentation lasts, on average, about 4 to 6 years. In this time, the pigment may fade and may require you to have touch-ups. However, this fading gives you the freedom to change the colour of your micropigmentation if you so desire.

SMP – Creating a Hairline

New hairline. New confidence.

No more covering his head indoors. Keeping it soft and natural with more peppering and blending.

SMP- Adding Density

After SMP, this patient said she didn’t even have to worry about leaving her house with wet hair. And now has the confidence of full natural density.

Hormone Balancing for Hair

Hormonal shifts associated with hypothyroidism, pregnancy and menopause can cause and accelerate the hair thinning process, particularly in women. Through bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, we can lessen some of the effects and help stimulate hair regrowth.

What Are Bioidentical Hormones?

Bioidentical hormones are Health Canada approved substances with the exact same molecular structure as what your body would normally produce and they generate the same physiologic responses as your body’s natural hormones.

Laser Cap for Hair Growth

Safe and easy to use for both men and women, with the simple design of an ordinary baseball cap.

Through a process known as photo-biomodulation, low-intensity red light absorbed by the scalp stimulates healthy hair growth. Scientific studies have shown that low light laser therapy arrests or stabilizes hair loss in about 90% of patients. And with consistent use, it has been found to stimulate hair-regrowth. Taking only 6 minutes a day, make the laser cap part of your daily routine.

Approved by the FDA and Health Canada for at-home use.

HRI Hair Boost Program

This advanced hair restoration program combines in-clinic visits with at-home therapies to stimulate new hair growth and promote stronger, healthier hair- all without surgery. Ideally suited for:

  • Preserving the hair you have (before hair loss becomes noticeable)
  • Men with early-stage pattern baldness
  • Men and women suffering from diffused hair loss
  • Accelerating the growth of newly transplanted hair (for our surgical patients)

Three synergistic treatments clinically proven to help stabilize hair loss and stimulate hair regrowth are combined to create one powerful solution:

  • The restorative potential of regenerative platelet therapy (series of three),
  • The proven power of low-level laser therapy (Laser Cap), and
  • Our proprietary once-a-day supplements that support hair health (Hair Max)

The program begins with a complimentary hair health checkup to give you a detailed analysis of your current hair health, including pictures of your starting point. Your journey to the hair you desire will continue over the next six months, with bi-monthly check-ins for your regenerative platelet therapy treatments- at which times we will track your progress.

With the HRI Hair Boost Program, there are no prescription drugs, uncomfortable procedures or downtime- and it fits right into your daily routine. Take control of your hair health- in six months you will be reclaiming the hair you love.

Fotona SP Dynamis Laser for Hair Growth

The Fotona erbium laser uses a process known as photo-biomodulation, a form of gentle deep heat, to stimulate the stem cells of dormant hair follicles to encourage hair regrowth. Light energy penetrates the scalp tissue, where it interacts with chromophores to induce a complex set of responses that increases circulation, reduces inflammation, and helps restore normal follicular function.

The treatment is painless and has no downtime

Hair Max Supplements

Specially formulated by Dr. Sreenivasan and exclusive to Sante Medical, Hair Max supplements support hair health for men and women. Containing seven essential natural ingredients and vitamins linked by clinical studies to hair growth, Hair Max provides patients a preventative all-natural healthy hair supplement in a convenient and easy-to-take daily capsule.

Nutrient Scalp Infusion

Healthy hair starts with a health scalp. HydraFacial Keravive is a treatment designed to cleanse, stimulate, nourish and hydrate the scalp for fuller and healthier looking hair. HydraFacial vortex technology extracts dirt, oil and impurities from the scalp and hair follicles while stimulating circulation. The scalp is then nourished by a proprietary blend of growth factors and skin proteins to promote a health scalp.

Propecia

A physician prescribed medication, Propecia inhibits the formation of DHT in your scalp (a substance that shrinks the hair follicle until it no longer produces visible hair). Propecia is the first Health Canada and FDA-approved pill proven to treat mild to moderate male pattern hair loss on the vertex (top of head) and the anterior mid-scalp area (middle front of head).

Taken daily, Propecia helps reduce further hair loss and helps regrow visible hair- with results seen in three to 12 months.

Minoxidil

Minoxidil converts vellus hairs (which are short, fine body hair) to terminal hairs (fully developed regular body hair). It also increases the growth phase of hair follicles. It is proven to help slow or stop hereditary hair loss in four out of five people and for a minority of people it can even grow back lost hairs in the crown area. Minoxidil is available in topical and oral form.

Collagen: the buzzword of the moment. From skin care to smoothie supplements, this super-ingredient promises to turn back time on our skin and keep it looking youthful for years on end. But is it really worth the hype?

Collagen is a protein substance that is naturally created in the body by converting dietary protein into amino acids that can be found in a balanced diet of protein-rich foods. The production of collagen within the body naturally slows with age, but can also be aided by sun exposure, smoking, increased carb and alcohol intake, and stress. While simply taking supplements won't completely reverse the effects of the body's natural loss of the substance, some studies have shown that collagen supplements can improve skin elasticity and hydration on some level.

So while it might not be the miracle many brands boast, an increase of collagen does aid anti-aging efforts. However, certain cosmetic treatments can stimulate the body's own production of collagen, such as @Ultherapy, Fotona laser treatment, Co2 resurfacing and EndyMed microneedling, all of which we're proud to offer at Sante. Visit the link in our bio to learn more about these treatments and head to our blog to read all about collagen and how it can improve skin appearance.
